Imagining the narrow space above the ceiling tiles - what if it could be another living structure in our modern society. Inspired by the limited studying, working, and living space in downtown Chicago, the artist uses the virtual technology to ‘prototype’ a future working space. The human sized figures illuminate themselves and they are programmed to repeat their motions in this in-between space. This piece also creates an interaction between the real and the unreal, by having the figures watch down at the audience, who are also in-between this two-plane architecture structure.
